E-News October 31, 2025 Introducing Bright Futures Arizona Initiative - Discounted Fees for Child Care Facilities

Governor’s Office Bright Futures Arizona Initiative

Dear Arizona Child Care Provider,

We are pleased to announce a new initiative from the Arizona Department of Health Services, funded by the Governor’s Office Bright Futures Arizona Initiative, designed to support your continued commitment to quality child care across our state.

Program Overview

Beginning November 1, 2025, through September 30, 2026, a one-time licensing fee reduction will be available for child care providers:

  • Current Providers: A 20% reduction in annual licensing fees will be automatically applied for payments received within the program period.
  • New Providers (at a new address): A 50% reduction in first-year licensing fees will be available for new facilities licensed during this timeframe.
  • Change of Ownership: Facilities changing ownership will receive an initial license at a 20% discount, regardless of license type.

These discounts will be reflected directly in the ADHS licensing portal. No additional action is required—simply submit your application fee as usual, and the appropriate reduction will be applied.

Key Details

  • The reduction applies only to standard licensing fees for facility and home providers.
  • Enforcement fees and other ADHS fees are NOT included in this program.
  • Providers may pay up to 60 days in advance of the license anniversary date to take advantage of the discount, provided payment is received by September 30, 2026.

We recognize the vital role you play in Arizona’s communities. This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to support your work and support high-quality child care for families statewide.

Thank you for your dedication and partnership.

Sincerely,

The Child Care Licensing Team
